Blackcurrants are a valuable natural source of vitamin C. But that's not all that makes them special. Their sour note also distinguishes the blackcurrant from its sweeter berry counterparts. Due to the intense acidity, a 100% fruit juice from blackcurrants would be hardly drinkable. For this reason, at Höllinger, we refined the recipe: 25% direct juice is diluted with pure water. Additionally, we tastefully balance the somewhat outspoken acidity of the blackcurrant with a pinch of sugar.
